I've worked in the machine tool programming industry since 1986, starting as an Applications Engineer for Point Control Co. and CNC programmer for a division of Raytheon Corporation.
In 1994 I became the Mastercam Reseller for San Diego/Baja Mexico and over 12 years helped several hundred companies implement CAD/CAM.
During this time I wrote a CAD/CAM/CNC curriculum and authored several books on CAD/CAM applications (Mastercam Handbooks).
I also ran my own prototype machine shop doing work for Qualcomm, Medtronics, Chrylser Pacifica, and others.
I now own NexGen Manufacturing Systems, Inc. which I founded to help industry adopt Integrated CAM solutions.
I am the author of CNC Machining for Engineers, which is oriented towards helping people with a technical background learn how to plan, setup, program, and operate CNC machine tools. This book and accompanying curriculum is a Haas Technical Education Center (HTEC) partner product. Schools using the book range from a high-tech high school in Canada, to the top tier engineering universities in the U.S.
